Life Lately

December is here, but I’m still trying to figure out where November went! Let’s catch up…

We kicked off November in California. Brian & I love the West Coast and try to do at least one trip a year. Santé wanted to try the iconic blueberry ricotta pancakes at the Beverly Hills Hotel. He rated them 10/10- takes after his mama. Rodeo drive was already decorated for the holidays, Christmas music and all. We drove up to Santa Barbara for a weekend and stayed at the Belmond El Encanto. The town was so cute and quaint- definitely a place we would come back to. Oh, and Erewhon? Twice a day ,every day.  Three words: Hailey Bieber Smoothie. IYKYK. But also...the hot food bar. I'm drooling thinking about the garlic noodles. Ughh I really love southern Cali so much. From the emphasis on healthy living, the restaurants, the fashion, the weather…we would definitely live here if it wasn't so far from family. We say maybe when we retire...

Next stop: Miami for an epic week of business meetings. I met with the best in my industry to develop more ways to SAVE, EARN, and BUILD. New people starting for $199 can now earn up to $4,000 in bonuses! This was a long time in the making and I'm so excited to bring on new partners and help them achieve these financial milestones. Real tears were shed waving goodbye to my baby for a full day of meetings (even knowing he would be with his dad and come see me at lunch). It made me think about all the moms that have to do this every day & how many of them could benefit from an online business and extra source of income. In 2025 I am going to be louder than ever about my mission: to empower women through business opportunities so they can fulfill their dreams. Maybe that looks like being a present work from home mom.

We unpacked from Miami and immediately repacked for NY! I was excited for cold weather and my winter coats. It felt so good to be back in my old stomping grounds. The Aritizia in Soho opened a new flagship store that is massive! I found the PERFECT 90's mom jeans & trust me I've bought and tried them all. My short girls know how hard it is to find slouchy jeans that don't need to be hemmed (I’m 5’2 for reference). I feel like every time I hem my jeans I hate the fit... Anyways, Agolde denim is supreme and totally worth the price. Shop them HERE and thank me later.

Oh, I also cut my hair! Something I never thought I would do, but absolutely love. Now, I don’t know if I'll ever have super long hair again. This feels so chic and modern. You can't have the same hair your whole life right?! It's been two weeks and I already feel like it’s grown so much...that's on using the best products out there.

Thanksgiving was spent with family on Long Island. It was so cute to see Santé with all of his cousins. He is the youngest of the four and so interested and eager to play with them. The next day we were off to Connecticut for Thanksgiving round two & my brother’s legendary leftover sliders on Hawaiian buns. Over the weekend we visited Jones's Tree Farm. If you are in the Southern CT area this is such a fun holiday activity even if you're not buying a tree. They have everything from wreaths and decor, to apple cider and cookies around the fire. It's giving Hallmark Christmas movie vibes... CLICK HERE for our holiday fits.

As we wrap up the year and holidays, let us remember the REASON for the SEASON... For me that looks like putting God first, spending quality time with family & friends, being grateful, and giving back. I haven't bought a single present for anyone and there's nothing that I am asking for. The truth is we all already have MORE than we need. Our kids have more things than they could ever want.

What if this year you made new traditions around PRESENCE instead of PRESENTS? Invite our kids to know God. Bake cookies with them. Play outside. Put away our phones and watch a movie as a family. Spend time at a local shelter serving your community. Start a fundraiser for families in your area that are in need.

If you are looking for a charity to connect with, consider the Hawega Foundation. I co-founded this organization with my friend, Sainga, in 2021. Since then we have sponsored 25 girls to go to school and prevented them from undergoing female genital mutilation (FGM). Our goal is to send an additional 10 students to school in January. What if instead of buying more things from Amazon that our kids will forget about in a few months you made a donation to send a young girl to school? Imagine the impact we could make & the example we can be to our kids. For more info visit us at www.hawega.org

Thanks for letting me share my heart with you & following along with my little family. I am wishing you all your happiest, healthiest, most present holiday season & new year.

With love, Brit
